Future Transport Systems and
Cenex have brought 4 electric Smart cars to the North East of England.
The Smart ED (electric drive) vehicles will be deployed within fleets across the region to gather valuable data on the performance of the cars when used as pool cars, and will also be made available for members of the public to experience
driving electric.
Smart ED cars will be available on February 25th, 26th and 27th at the Metro Centre in Gateshead. There will be an interactive display in Town Square, outside House of Fraser in the green mall, where you can book your test drive slot. Your co-driver will walk with you to the cars, parked in the green car park.
If you would like to drive please bring your full driving licence anytime between 10am and 8pm on Thursday 25th or Friday 26th, or between 9:30am and 6pm on Saturday to the Town Square.
